Product

Ledgerly is a mobile finance app that gives small-business owners a single, glanceable view of cash in, cash out, and what's coming next — replacing scattered spreadsheets with one trusted home for money decisions.

The Challenge

Owners were juggling five tools to answer one question: "can I make payroll this month?" Data lived in spreadsheets and bank portals, and every reconciliation cost hours. Ledgerly needed a design that made financial clarity feel effortless, not like more admin work.

Our Solution

We designed a cash-flow-first interface: a live forecast timeline on the home screen, one-tap invoice capture, and plain-language insights instead of raw tables. A calm visual system keeps numbers readable at a glance, in the office or on the go.

Research

We started with 14 stakeholder and customer interviews, a competitive teardown of eight finance tools, and two weeks of diary studies. The patterns were unmistakable: people didn't need more charts — they needed confident answers, faster.

User Flows

We mapped every money moment into five core flows, then pressure-tested them against real edge cases — a failed payment, a duplicate invoice, an upcoming tax bill. Decisions collapsed from five taps to two.

Wireframes

Lo-fi frames let us argue about structure, not pixels. Three rounds of clickable greys with eight owners kept the forecast timeline — not settings — as the unmistakable home base.

Interface Designs

The hi-fi system pairs a deep indigo with generous whitespace and tabular numerals, so dense financial data still feels calm. Every screen was tested in sunlight, one-handed, and with VoiceOver.
